We saw a need for greater support of the Southwest of Portugal’s unique natural environment, recognizing that businesses and tourists benefit significantly from it. 

In 2025, after a conversation with a local entrepreneur that shared the same love for the region, we founded the Vicentina Foundation, a non-profit association committed to the preservation of Southwest Portugal's unique natural environment. 

We work to educate on the challenges facing these fragile ecosystems, and to generate awareness and financial support for carefully selected third-party initiatives actively working to protect these habitats.
