We saw a need for greater support of the South-west of Portugal’s unique natural environment, recognizing that businesses and tourists benefit significantly from it. 

In 2025, after a conversation with a local entrepreneur that shared the same love for the region, we founded the Vicentina Foundation, a non-profit association committed to the preservation of Southwest Portugal's unique natural environment. 

Our mission is anchored by two fundamental pillars: firstly, to educate and build awareness about the challenges confronting these vulnerable ecosystems, and secondly, to empower tourism to actively contribute to natural regeneration. The overarching goal is to generate financial resources to support carefully selected third-parties working on nature and biodiversity LIFE accredited programs.
